How to reduce face drift in a Tiny Desk AI clip

Why Tiny Desk AI likeness, hands, and motion can still drift, and what to change in the source photos before you spend credits.

The model tries to follow the faces in your upload. It does not lock identity, lip sync, or hands. Review every MP4 before you post.

What “drift” looks like

  • The face is close, then it slides toward a generic performer.
  • Hands smear on the mic or desk.
  • Extra people appear, or a group member drops out.
  • The mouth timing looks off.

That is a generation limit, not a setting you toggle. There is no prompt box to “keep my face.”

What actually helps

  1. Five clear solos of one person, or one group shot of the same people — not mixed strangers.
  2. Eyes open, even light, no sunglasses, no beauty filter.
  3. Similar crop across the five stills.
  4. Pick 768P to test; spend 2K only after a still that already looks like you. See 768P vs 2K.

Sharp photos help. They do not guarantee a match. Photo checklist: best photos for Tiny Desk AI.

What not to do

  • Do not upload a public figure or anyone under 18.
  • Do not start a second generate while one job is already running.
  • Closing the wait screen does not cancel a job the generator already accepted, and it does not refund. History stays in Library.

Failed or blocked jobs return reserved credits. A clip you dislike but that rendered is still charged.
